Nigerian golden frankincense (Boswellia dalzielii) is native to West Africa. It is ethically sourced in smaller batches from wild trees in northern Nigeria and Burkina Faso. Nigerian golden frankincense has gained a reputation among incense enthusiasts and researchers for having its own distinct, "heavyweight" chemical and aromatic profile.
This frankincense has a unique "Cooling" Scent Profile. While most frankincense is known for citrus, honey or basalmic notes, the Nigerian B. dalzielii introduces a sharp, refreshing complexity:

Top Notes: It features a distinct peppermint and camphor aroma that provides a cooling sensation.

Heart Notes: It retains the classic bright lemon and lime citrus scents found in high-grade Omani resins.
